FLUORESCEIN ANGIOGRAPHY AND LASER PHOTOCOAGULATION

Dr B. Patnaik was the First to carry out Fluorescein Angiography in India way back in 1969, when only a handful of University Medical Centers of the USA were beginning to do the same. He continues to be an authority in its proper interpretation. Using this technique he along with Dr Kalsi of this Institute have clarified the true nature of such diseases as Eales Disease and CSR.

They are the pioneers of Photocoagulation (Xenon and Lasers) with nearly 35 years of solid experience. They were the First Retina Specialists in the country to treat Diabetic Retinopathies, CSR, CNV etc with photocoagulation.
